Hi, I'm René Schmidt. I run Springseilpower, a German website and YouTube channel about jumping rope. This small English section collects the guides that English-speaking visitors ask me about most: whether Crossrope's weighted jump ropes are worth the money, which set fits which goal, and how to choose the right size before you order.
Who I am
I started jumping rope in 2012. First came a website and a YouTube channel called “Seilspringen lernen” (German for “learning to jump rope”); later I started Springseilpower. Over the years I tried a lot of ropes: simple PVC ropes, speed ropes, the PROspeedrope and, for years, the weighted ropes from Crossrope.
I recorded my sessions with an Apple Watch and a Polar sensor and worked with Tabata, HIIT and longer endurance sessions. In 2021 I documented my own jump rope challenge publicly as a training diary, and many of those sessions are on my channel as videos.
To be upfront about one thing: I no longer jump regularly today. The experience in these guides comes from my active training years. Current product details such as prices, set contents, sizes and warranty terms come from Crossrope, and I label them that way, together with the date I checked them.
What you'll find here
These English pages are written for readers who are considering a Crossrope set and want a calm second opinion before they buy. They are not translations of my German articles; I wrote them separately for this section. Every guide keeps three things apart: what I experienced myself, what Crossrope says about its products, and what I simply don't know.
- Crossrope Review (2026): Is the Weighted Jump Rope System Worth It?
What I learned from years with a weighted Crossrope rope, what the current sets include, the honest downsides, and who should skip it. - Get Lean vs Get Strong (vs AMP): Which Set Is Right for You?
The three main sets side by side: handles, rope weights, app features, membership costs and who each set is really for. - Crossrope Sizing Guide: Which Size and Rope Weight?
Crossrope ropes are not adjustable, so the size matters. The height chart in feet and meters, what to do between sizes, ceiling height and rope weights. - Crossrope AMP Review: Are Smart Jump Rope Handles Worth It?
What the Bluetooth handles do, what the membership costs over two years, the downsides, and who is better off with a classic set. - Crossrope AMP Handles Explained: How the Smart Handles Work
What the Bluetooth handles count, what you need to use them, how pairing and charging work, and my own experience. - Crossrope Jump Rope Mat Review: Do You Need a Mat?
Which surfaces call for a mat, Crossrope's current mats, what a mat can't do, and my experience with mats outdoors. - Crossrope vs a Regular Jump Rope: Is the Price Difference Worth It?
When a simple rope is all you need, when the weighted system is worth the extra money, and the honest downsides.

How I handle recommendations
Some links in this section go to Crossrope and are affiliate links. They are marked with ☞. Most of the equipment I talk about I paid for myself, and I keep my own experience separate from manufacturer information. I don't make weight-loss or performance promises: jumping rope can be a good workout, but how quickly anyone progresses depends on many things I can't see from here.
If you want to look around first, here is ☞ Crossrope's official US shop. If you already know you want the lighter starter set, you can go straight to the ☞ Get Lean Set on crossrope.com (US price on crossrope.com as of Oct 30, 2026: $129). Please check size, shipping and return terms for your country before you order.
Where to start
New to weighted ropes? Start with the review. Already set on Crossrope but torn between sets? Go to the comparison. Ready to order? Read the sizing guide first, because a Crossrope rope that is the wrong length can't be adjusted later.
